Eligibility and inclusions
To hire one of our motorcycles, you must:
- be a minimum of 21 years old,
- hold a full, current motorcycle licence,
- have a valid credit card, and
- have experience handling large motorcycles.
All motorcycle hires include:
- a helmet and jacket if required,
- unlimited kilometres for hires of three days or more, or
- 400 kilometres per day for hires of one to two days (a 50c/km charge applies for any distance travelled over 400km per day).
Pick up and drop off
- Motorcycles can be picked up from our Auckland and Christchurch depots
- Motorcycles can be dropped off at our Auckland or Christchurch depots.
- One-way rentals incur a $400 relocation fee from Christchurch.
- Flexible pick up times can be arranged.
- Secure on-site parking is available for your own vehicle during the hire period.
- Refunds for early motorcycle returns are at the discretion of 37 South management and dependent on individual circumstances.
- Late motorcycle returns are charged at the set daily rental fee plus an additional charge of $150 per day.
Insurance and incidents:
- A $3,000 insurance excess applies for any accidents.
- Tyre puncture repairs are the hirer’s responsibility, a puncture repair kit is included on each hire.
- If mechanical issues occur during the hire, the motorcycle will be replaced or repairs organised at no cost to the hirer.
Waiver and release:
- All hirers must be aware that riding motorcycles comes with risk of personal injury. By signing the rental agreement, the hirer accepts all risks of personal injury and property damage relating to this motorcycle hire.
